Frequently Asked Questions
I received a letter from BSI stating that my test hasn't been submitted, but I’ve already paid. What should I do?
Please log in to your customer portal at BSI Online Tracking to confirm whether your test report has been filed. If you still have questions or concerns, please call our office.
Can I pay the tester when he is here?
Yes. Customers can put a check or cash in a water-sealed bag and attach it to the RPZ valve for the tester to collect.
Do you install residential RPZ valves or disconnect them at the end of the season?
No, our company does not install or disconnect residential RPZ valves. For residential installations and end-of-season shutdowns, please get in touch with Pacific Coast Lawn Service at (630) 401-4737.
How will I know if my test is completed?
The tester will leave a copy of the test results in your front door along with an envelope where you can remit the payment. Once we receive your payment, we’ll submit the results to the municipality.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Unfortunately, we don’t accept credit cards at this time. We do accept checks or cash.
If my RPZ fails, do I have to pay for a retest?
Yes, each RPZ valve test costs $70.00.
Does my RPZ Valve need to be hooked up?
Yes. If the RPZ valve isn't hooked up or is hooked up incorrectly, the test will not be able to be completed. There is a $25.00 trip charge for RPZ valves that cannot be tested.
Can I schedule an appointment?
We do not schedule specific appointments. However, once you request a test, your RPZ valve will be tested within 7 business days.
